7.00 for 7.30 pm
We are delighted to announce that in collaboration with the Association of WRNS, the club is celebrating 100 years since the formation of the WRNS. We will be holding a three course formal dinner at the club open to all former Wrens and Association members and Royal Scots Club members & guests.
Our guest speaker will be Commodore Inga J Kennedy QHNS QARNNS, who is Inspector General at Headquarters Surgeon General and also the Queen’s Honorary Nursing Sister. She will be speaking about how life for Servicewomen has changed beyond all recognition since the formation of the WRNS, with its original motto of ‘Never at Sea’. As we know, today’s women of the Royal Navy serve alongside their male colleagues at sea, in conflicts such as the first Gulf War, the Balkans, the 2003 Iraq War and, more recently, in Afghanistan.
Do come along and celebrate these wonderful women and their extraordinary achievements.
