Top Five Essentials for your Wedding To-Do List

Planning a wedding is a huge commitment and it does come with a degree of stress and plenty of things you need to do. When getting organised and especially in the early days it is important to have some things sorted out and properly organised and this includes our top five essentials below.

1.   A Fantastic Venue

You need a venue which suits your style and a venue which can offer up exactly what you’re looking for. The Royal Scots Club is a classic Georgian building with all the charm you would expect and it benefits from a wonderfully central location in Edinburgh. Beautiful, luxurious surroundings ensure you have an exceptional place for you and your guests to enjoy and this is matched with the option of en-suite bedrooms to be booked if you and your guests require them and the choice of several beautiful venues within the club, which can accommodate just two or as many as 160 guests.

2.   Beautiful Surroundings for Perfect Wedding Photos

In the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town and surrounding by some of the nicest scenery there is in the city, The Royal Scots Club offers a beautiful base for your snaps but also plenty of wonderful surroundings including Queen Street Gardens which are absolutely ideal for leafy green wedding photographs if the weather is up to it.

3.   The Freedom to get Creative

Finding the perfect venue is one thing but the chance to make it your own is another. You may have a theme for your wedding and this is something you want to show off at your venue and a good venue will let you take control and ensure your décor matches your theme and that everything has the feel you’re looking for.

4.   Great Food

Your wedding breakfast needs to be something to remember and so you need a venue which can provide fantastic food. At the Royal Scots Club, we ensure there is a choice of menus and if you choose to book with us you can discuss in advance what you want with personalised menus available and discussion of all your dining and dietary requirements.

5.   Space for all Guests

You may want a small and intimate affair or you may want something larger and packed with every last loved one you can think of. In every instance you want a venue which provides ample space for your guests but equally isn’t so spacious that you feel like the room is empty. At the Royal Scots Club we have a choice of rooms and venues so you can book the one which best suits your needs. They stretch from our Princess Royal Suite which has space for 160 dinner guests or 200 guests for a reception to The Douglas Room which is a popular choice for wedding ceremonies for up to 60 and wedding breakfasts for up to 44.
