1SCOTS commanding officer gives unique insight into Afghan operations

This month we are hosting a unique presentation by the commanding officer of 1SCOTS. The event will give an insight into the regiment’s recent time in Aghanistan and the role of the Army in the conflict.

Lt Col Ben Wrench will talk about the time 1SCOTS spent working alongside the Afghan National Army to prepare it for taking control and responsibility for the security of the Central Helmand Districts. With the presentation designed to promote discussion and provide the chance to ask questions, this is a rare opportunity for insight into both the Army and its current operations.

Taking place at the Royal Scots Club in Abercromby Place, Edinburgh, the event is open to non-membersand will be on 27 June 2013 at 7pm. To book call Janet on 0131 556 4270 or emailmembership@royalscotsclub.com.

The price of £25 includes supper and a £10 donation to the 1SCOTS Benevolent Fund.
