Our Private Rooms for Meetings, Private Dining and Events

We have several differently-sized private rooms able to seat from 10 up to 200, and to suit all types of meetings, presentations and private dining parties. All rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished, and are adaptable when it comes to layout.

Rooms can be set up in a variety of styles, including classroom, boardroom, cabaret, theatre and reception. Buffet and seated dining can of course be catered for; with options for a working lunch to a formal banquet. A combination of rooms is often hired during the course of a day, and our hire rates are detailed on a separate sheet.

All of our private rooms have direct dial phones, WiFi and broadband lines. The Princess Royal Suite, Hepburn, Dumbarton & Douglas Rooms are all air-conditioned.

The Princess Royal Suite & Cavern Bar
The Princess Royal Suite, named after The Club's Patron, is our newest events space and brings the option of a more contemporary styled room to our portfolio. Boasting up to the minute A/V and integral PA system, this space offers flexible options for presentation, and an atmospheric cavern bar for breakout or bar requirements. Capacity 160 for dinner, 200 for reception or theatre style.

The Hepburn Suite & Bar
The Hepburn Suite is our largest function suite. A lovely elegant room with entirely self-contained facilities incorporating adjacent bar, catering facilities and toilets. It can accommodate up to 150 delegates/guests in reception or theatre style, 40 boardroom-style and up to 50 in a U-shape. For private dinners, we can seat 110 comfortably. There is also a small stage that can be utilised for presentations and entertainment. AV equipment includes LCD ,DVD/VCR, PA, blackout blinds, and induction loop system.

The Dumbarton Room
A very quiet room away from the main Club traffic, this room is very popular for training and meetings. Can be set up in most styles, including reception for 40, boardroom for 20 or classroom for 20. Fully air-conditioned and it has recently been fully refurbished with in-built conference equipment.

The Douglas Room
This is a delightfully elegant room with period fireplace and large windows overlooking Queen Street Gardens. Superb room for board meetings seating up to 28, or receptions for up to 50 delegates. Also very popular for private dinners and drinks parties for up to 45 guests.

The Ellesmere Room
A beautiful room, located on the Ground floor with views also overlooking Queen Street Gardens. The Ellesmere Room can seat up to 18 boardroom style, and is ideal for a drinks reception for up to 30 guests.
Syndicate rooms

We also have a variety of syndicate rooms, suited to one-to-ones and interviews, and smaller meetings for 2 to 14 attendees.
